About
Why it exists
We build and look after websites for a living. Lean CMS started as the thing we needed ourselves — a way to build a site quickly and hand it over without it falling apart six months later.
The pattern we kept hitting was this: a client gets a good site, then needs a small change, then either waits for us or does it themselves and the page ends up slightly wrong. Do that fifty times and the site no longer looks like the one that was delivered. Everyone involved is doing their best and the result is still a mess.
So we stopped trying to fix that with documentation and training, and changed the tool instead. If the sections a person can use are already correct, they cannot make the page wrong.
Things worth knowing before you deal with us
We are small. That means you talk to the person doing the work, and it also means we cannot take on everything. If we are not the right fit we will tell you early.
We use Lean CMS on this site. Every page you are reading was built with the product being sold. If it were awkward to use, you would be looking at the evidence.
It is open source. The plugin is GPL-3.0-or-later. You are not buying permission to use software, you are buying the build channel, the updates, and us.
We would rather lose a sale than oversell. There is no free trial, so the only way you can judge this before paying is by what we tell you and what the guide shows. That puts the burden on us to be accurate.
